In a speech on April 15th, 2018, as reported in the Athens newspaper ‘Kathimerini’, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on Greece and Turkey to improve their relations and also stated that their current difficulties which have led to a military fatality last week are not a matter for NATO.
The European Free Alliance declares that it:
- Condemns the policy of discrimination of the Macedonian minorities and the denial of the Macedonian identity in Bulgaria and Greece, members of the EU.
- Condemns the misuse of the status of a member country by Greece and Bulgaria in the achievement of undemocratic causes against the members of the Macedonian minorities on their soil and the blackmail of a candidate country.

Македонците во светот, како нераскинлив и неотуѓив дел од Македонскиот народ чии корени се во Македонија, имаат историска и морална обврска да помогнат во одбрана на татковината! Во одбраната на името на државата и идентитетот на нацијата.
Over the last few months we have been assailed by arguments presented by ministers, members of parliament and spokespersons in the puppet Zaev government and their political allies in the media in favour of a name change. Amongst this barrage of misleading information, mental acrobatics and pure disinformation, the argument most often presented is the one that posits that a name change will not affect Macedonian identity and self-identification. We have witnessed both Zaev and Nikola Dimitrov assure us that they will not even “countenance a solution” if there is any chance of #Macedonian identity and the Macedonian language being described in such a way that they are diluted, diminished, ridiculed or disrespected.
